Glasgow

Glasgow hosted the world's first international football match in 1872, so it is highly appropriate that the city should be an Olympic host city for the football.

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, and is the country’s financial hub. In the past it played a huge part in the Industrial Revolution, and became a major player in ship-building and marine engineering.

Glasgow has its own dialect - Glaswegian (also known as Glaswegian patter) is a dialect of Scots.

We are partnering with YWAM Scotland in our work in Glasgow. These are particularly exciting years for Scotland’s largest city. Not only is Glasgow hosting the Olympic football, but it is also host to the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The Glasgow DTS Gathering will take place 27 October-3 November 2012.
