Zafar Francis

Zafar has been with YWAM since 1983 and has led ministry to Asian communities throughout the UK, Spain and Pakistan for the last 28 years. He has been based in east London (the Olympics area) since 1993, pioneering Asian performing arts centres both in London and Karachi. Zafar spends his time between London and Pakistan giving leadership capacity training to Asian Christian youth. He is also an internationally recognised Urdu scholar and professional writer.

Saira Peter

Asian Team Co-Director

Project and Training Director, YWAM Pakistan

Saira was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. She is an international gospel vocalist and worship leader and directs an Asian performing arts centre in Karachi, where she and her staff voluntarily give tuition to underprivileged youth. She is a voice for women in leadership and in 2009 coordinated Pakistan’s first Christian women’s mega-conference for 7,000 attendees. She is currently in London doing her third MA (Islam and the West) and in her spare time teaches youth praise and worship through Asian Christian network Glory TV and in British Asian churches.
