We are developing a series of prayer walks for the various Olympic host cities. Each location is listed below, and has an introduction to the city and then maps with routes marked that you can use to do your prayer-walk.
So get your shoes on, click on the links below to locate a map, and start prayer-walking now! More to follow soon.
Cardiff's Centenary Walk is a great way to explore the city centre on foot, and find out more about how Cardiff became the city it is today. Cardiff city council put it together. The whole walk is 3.6 km (2.3 miles) long, and indicated by numbered waymarkers in the pavement. You can join it anywhere along the route, taking in as much – or as little – as you fancy. The numbered waymarkers start outside the Tourist Information Centre at the Old Library. Take time at each location to ask God what to pray.
Not a prayer walk, so much as a prayer ride! Take a journey on the London Underground railway, and use this map to pray for the places you are passing under. Covers the Central and Circle lines.
This audio tour will give you indepth and up-to-date information about the Olympic Park and the new London 2012 venues, while bringing to life the excitement of the Games. Recently created by the Olympic Development Agency (ODA), it's designed to be listened to on an MP3 player as you walk along The Greenway, a walkway overlooking the Olympic Park from where you can see the new venues and parklands for yourself.
